Proving ABA services to children with autism and related disorders
Implementation of Behavior Plans and Strategies
Implementation of Discrete Trial Training and individualized programming including: social skills, daily living/ self-help skills and communication skills
Graphing and maintaining daily data collection
Knowledge of PECS and ABA standards is preferred
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
In-home and/or Center-based ABA services
Part-Time position
After-school hours and weekends
Requirements:
1 year experience working with children 2 - 12 years old with autism or related disorders in an ABA Program is preferred
Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Dedicated to improving the overall quality of life for children affected by autism
Takes initiative and comfortable working in a 1:1 setting
Punctual, effective communication, and reliable
Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail
Maintains professionalism with children and staff
Accurate data collection while conducting sessions
Development of individualized treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with autism.
Development of programming and services based on the principles of ABA, including behavior intervention plans, social skills, functional communication training, and daily living skills.
Conducting functional behavior assessments and skill assessments.
Services are provided in a variety of settings including: natural context of the child’s home, school, center-based and/or other community settings.
Supervisions of ABA therapists on assigned caseloads to ensure fidelity and consistence in implementation of programming.
Training to parents, ABA therapist and / or school staff
Providing 1-on-1 services to individuals as needed
BCBA will report directly to the Clinical Director
Requirements:
BCBA certification
Masters Degree in related field
Strength in the application of ABA techniques
Strong communication with parents and staff in explaining ABA techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dedicated, with strong time management skills
Pays closes attention to detail and is punctual
A natural leader with the ability to think outside of the box
Experience working within the home setting / public school setting: 2 years
