Physical Education Teacher (endorsement 044)

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and (as necessary) adjusts instructional goals and objectives, to reflect school goals, curriculum policies, and the knowledge, skills, progress, and needs of students.
• Designs lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills as well as address the individual needs of the students
• Monitors, and evaluates students’ progress in relation to the school curriculum and IEP planned goals and objectives.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team for students with autism (ASD)
• Participate, as required, in team meetings to discuss student’s progress.
• Orders PE supplies and materials in collaboration with School Administrators
• Commits to on-going professional development

Qualifications:

• Required certification: Physical Education (044), PK-12
• Experience working with students, Preschool - Grade 8, with disabilities and behavioral needs (preferred)
• 1 year teaching experience as a Physical Education teaching (preferred)
