Teresa Cavanagh MS.

BCBA Intern

Teresa Cavanagh is an intern-in-training to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Strong Foundations. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a concentration in Elementary Education from Springfield College. While at Springfield College she was a starting member of the varsity softball team. In 2015, while raising her 3 children, Teresa decided to pursue a master’s degree. In 2018 she graduated with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Bay Path University. While pursuing her master’s degree she also began working in the special education department at Crystal Lake Elementary School in Ellington, CT. She remained there for 7 years working with preschool through 6th-grade students with various behavioral, social/emotional, and learning needs. Teresa is also a board member of the Jacob Roger Poulin Foundation, helping to raise funds for a deck hockey rink and playscape in Ellington in memory of her daughter’s hockey teammate. While she is not working, Teresa is busy with her 3 very active children Ella, Lillie, and Sam. She loves cheering them on and supporting them at their hockey, softball, and lacrosse games, swim meets, plays, and chorus and band concerts. Free time does not come often, but when it does, she loves to be home with her children, her boyfriend Jeff, and her two dogs Bauer and Gordie, gathering around the fire pit, relaxing in her backyard, and going for walks in the woods. She also really enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, attending comedy shows, and getting together with friends and family.
