Kathy LaPorte MSEd., BCBA, LBA, LABA is a Behavior Analyst who joined Strong Foundations in 2019. She received her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Bay Path University (Longmeadow, Massachusetts) in 2016. Kathy has had extensive experience working in an ABA/VB classroom as well as providing in-home ABA services to individuals with a wide range of ages (3-16) and varied diagnoses and developmental challenges. She has performed diverse assessments and created individualized treatment goals based on assessment scores to target areas in need of behavioral, academic and social support. Kathy has also provided in-home supervision and has implemented parent/family support services to coordinate ABA services, provide continuity and promote generalization.
Kathy is an invested BCBA and committed educator who strives to cultivate and generate positive influences into the lives of people who have varied developmental and learning differences. She is particularly passionate about helping children build their overall ability to effectively communicate and to develop their social and self-help skills through creating a greater level of independence and overall self-esteem. Kathy’s greatest satisfaction comes from being part of a team that serves others and supports them in achieving their personal best, goals and aspirations. She believes in the importance and value of each unique individual and celebrates their small successes that can lead to big changes over time!
Kathy is also happily married to her husband and best friend for over 30 years, and they have three, wonderful children together. Some of her favorite things are: going for walks, enjoying cozy bonfires in her backyard, reading books, pondering, trying her hand at gardening, making new recipes, and spending quality time with friends and family!
