James Mitchell, III RBT, has acquired further ABA experience since joining Strong Foundations in 2017. James began his Applied Behavior Analysis ventures as an ABA therapist and earned his RBT in early 2020. He has filled many roles, including teacher’s assistant, in-home therapist, and classroom instructor. James is currently pursuing education in teaching and child psychology to provide the best services he can at Strong Foundations.
James became involved with the field of autism services when he assisted a friend with her siblings with special needs. He felt the positive impact that just one person willing to give their time and energy can have on an individual. Through this experience, James saw the need for direct, accessible, and personalized care for children and adults.
James also has 11 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. He has worked as a summer camp co-coordinator for public outreach programs, volunteering his Sundays to teach Children’s church, and touring the eastern USA with a drama team.
Outside of work, James loves playing board games and creative writing. James also is a huge fan of Jazz music, which he plays in community events on occasion.
