Aydrien L. Cathcart MSEd., BCBA, LBA

Aydrien Cathcart M.S.Ed., BCBA founded Strong Foundations in 2011. She received her Master of Science in Behavioral Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Simmons College (Boston, Massachusetts) in 2006. Aydrien has over 12 years of experience in the field of ABA and has worked in a wide range of settings, including residential facilities, outplacement day programming, public schools and in-home programming, including birth to three services.
During her time in the field, Aydrien has worked with a variety of individuals with autism spectrum disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, as well as other behavioral and emotional challenges. She previously developed a district wide continuum of ABA services for students with autism and related disabilities attending public schools. During this time, Aydrien was recognized by the superintendent of schools and her colleagues for her work developing and overseeing the program. This continuum of services provided behavioral, academic, social, daily living, and academic-social instruction for students ages 3 to 21. Aydrien was responsible for program development, staff training, and overseeing the day-to-day management of the program. Furthermore, she was a featured speaker at the Wired Differently National Conference (Atlanta, GA), and again at the Council for Exceptional Children Convention (San Diego, CA), where she presented on the social skills continuum she co-developed. In addition, Aydrien currently sits as a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Association of Behavior Analysis (CT ABA).
Aydrien is driven by her desire to help all children make meaningful gains that will allow them to lead independent, happier, and more fulfilled lives. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, taking road trips, and camping. Aydrien currently resides in Tolland, CT with her two wonderful daughters, and beautiful but very needy kitty cat named Harvey.
